In Vitalist Herbalism the five Elements are water, air, earth, fire and spirit. We try to incorporate all five elements into the products we make based on the plant's elemental correlations to create balanced formulas.

Our herbs are either ethically wildcrafted, or sourced from PNW small farms. We start as locally as we can and then work outward. Some of our farms include Blackbird Pines Lavender, Groffman’s Fresh Produce, Inland Garlic, Friends of the Trees Botanicals, and Oshala Farm. Medicinal herbs are sourced from all over the world and we work hard to follow our herbs from the source farm or forest all the way to our production studio. This helps us to ensure we’re using high quality herbs and supporting ethical and sustainable growers. We’re proud to know our famers by name.

We are proud to say that we make over 90 percent of our tinctures right here in the heart of Spokane! Each individual herb is freshly ground immediately before tincturing and percolated at its own specific extraction ratio to ensure potency and efficacy. We then blend the individual herbs into our formulas. We currently do not make our low-dose (drop-dose) tinctures. This includes plants like Lobelia inflata, Pulsatilla occidentalis and Datura stramonium. Because of the potency of these plants and the safety concerns that can accompany them we choose to source our low-dose herbs from Heron Botanicals.
